The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K).

Why are E27 LED LED bulbs still popular?
This is partly due to the E27 screw fitting. This fitting has been around since the early 19th century and is known for its ease of use. After all, you screw an E27 fitting into a fixture in a matter of seconds and the light instantly starts working, because it is directly connected to the mains.
Can I also buy E27 LED bulbs for outdoors?
There are no waterproof E27 LED bulbs available on Budgetlight. However, of course you can put these lights outside in a suitable closed (waterproof) fixture with an E27 fitting, for example in a lantern.
When is it smart to choose a dimmable E27 LED bulb?
Dimming the light reduces its intensity. This is why dimmable bulbs are mainly used in places where it is important to have a cosy/warm atmosphere. The extra energy savings are a nice bonus. This is because E27 LED lights that are dimmable do not have to work at full strength, so they do not use the maximum power.
How much more energy-efficient is E27 LED than an ordinary E27 light bulb?
On average, when buying LED you save 80% on energy costs! This is due to the lower wattage. This means the bulb needs far less energy, while still delivering the same performance. Moreover, an LED bulb does not get hot while it is on, so you cannot burn your hand.
What is the average lifetime of LED bulbs?
On average, E27 LED bulbs last 15 times longer than the normal incandescent bulbs with the same socket. This shows once again that you are always better off and save money with LED. In other words: why buy 15 light bulbs when there is a more durable product available that you can enjoy for much longer?
How do I know if the LED E27 I want to buy online has enough lumens?
Best practice is to check the wattage of your old E27 light bulb first. 200 lumens (LED bulb) per 20 watts (old bulb) is a good starting point. Also remember: the higher the amount of lumen, the brighter/more powerful the light. An E27 LED bulb with a high lumen count (from 500 onwards) is therefore better suited as general lighting than for creating a cosy atmosphere.
What is good E27 ambient lighting?
Let's talk about colour temperature. Very warm white (1800 - 2700K) is the best option, because of the very warm shade of the light. You can also choose dim to warm E27 bulbs. You can dim these bulbs and change the colour temperature.
