HPL LED Lamps
HID-lamps with an E27 or E40 base and a high intensity (80W and 125W) are being phased out because they make use of toxic gases like mercury. Instead of these HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps, HPL LED Gas Discharge lamps have arrived. Due to their use of LED technology instead of toxic gases, the LED HPL lamps are eco-friendly and also energy-efficient. For example, a LED HPL lamp uses on average 70% less energy to achieve the same light intensity as the conventional HID lamp of 80W/125W. The LED HPL lamps are suited for replacing gas discharge lamps used in public, urban and road areas.
