What is a GU10 LED spotlight?
This is one of the most common types of spotlight bulbs. GU10 refers to the shape of the fitting of this spotlight. The GU10 fitting has two pins, which are 10 mm apart (hence the name GU10). This fitting is also known as the bayonet fitting.
Does this light bulb operate on 230V or 12V?
It is very easy to connect GU10 LED spotlights to the 230V mains. As a result, you do not need a transformer. Perfect!
Can I replace a halogen GU10 spotlight with an LED spotlight?
Yes, you can. A halogen spot with the same fitting can be replaced directly by the LED version. Because the GU10 can be connected to the mains, it is even easier to switch to LED. Just screw the LED spotlight into the old fitting and you're done!
Are GU10 LED spotlights dimmable?
Not all GU10 LED spotlights are dimmable. We have a wide range of dimmable GU10 LED spotlights in our web shop. View all our dimmable GU10 spotlights here. Make sure you use the correct dimmer. Conventional dimmers are only suitable for conventional lighting. To dim GU10 LED spots, you need an LED dimmer.
How do I install this light bulb?
