Philips Incandescent Bulbs
A Philips incandescent bulb works through the two filaments that are located in the low-oxygen bulb. The filaments start to glow as soon as electrical current is sent through. This happens when you switch the switch. When the glass bulb is broken and oxygen can get to the filaments, the filaments will burn out. A incandescent bulb uses very little of the energy it gets to make light. The efficiency of the lamp is around 5%. To compare: an energy saving lamp has an efficiency of 40% and an LED lamp around 50%. Nevertheless, incandescent bulbs have advantages. An incandescent bulb emits a warm, atmospheric and natural light. In addition, the purchase price is low and the lamp can always be perfectly dimmed.
