LED Battens
At Budgetlight, we offer LED battens in different options with many advantages. For example, you can find LED battens in different colour temperatures, varying from warm white to daylight white. These battens can be connected seamlessly to each other in a row of ten. Because they have compact dimensions, they do not need much space. The LED battens can for example be used in corridors or as under-cabinet lighting. Furthermore, there are LED battens available that have a great resistance against humidity and are therefore highly suitable for humid rooms. If you still have questions about LED battens, please read our frequently asked questions below.

What is an LED batten?
An LED batten is a replacement for a conventional fluorescent tube. Many of the batten fittings have an integrated LED module, but in some fittings you can place one or more TL/D or T8 LED fluorescent tubes (dimensions: 60cm, 120cm or 150cm).
Can you fit all T8 LED tubes in an LED fluorescent fitting?
Our batten housings all have a G13 fitting (T8 LED tubes). If you can fit a starter, it can even be used for a TL-D tube. If you want to make sure an LED fluorescent tube fits, choose LED fluorescent tubes that work on EM/Mains or Mains or UN LED tubes.
Where can you use LED battens?
You can use battens in both private homes (garages and workshops) and businesses (among others: warehouses, production halls, workshops and sheds). If you place LED fluorescent fixtures in damp rooms, make sure the fixture is waterproof: at least IP44, but preferably IP65, IP66 or IP67.
What does through-wiring mean?
LED battens with through-wiring can be connected to each other, so you can easily use the fixtures as a series. This is very convenient if you want to control an area with several battens with one light switch. LED battens with through-wiring have a maximum number of LEDs you can connect to each other.
What is the advantage of LED battens with DALI?
With the DALI system, you can connect as many LED battens as you want. You can even place other DALI fixtures in the same lighting circuit. Moreover, you can activate DALI battens automatically via motion detection and dim these fixtures together.
Which colour temperatures can I use in a workshop?
The standard light colour used in workplaces, such as a workshop, is cool white (4000K). If you perform very detailed work in your workshop, daylight white (6500K) is a better choice.
