Recessed LED spotlights
LED spotlights are the perfect lighting for a wide scale of spaces where you want to place a focus on certain objects. Due to the smaller beam angle, LED recessed spotlights are perfect for accent lighting and can therefore put statement pieces like art and statues under a completely new light! Because of LED technology, the spotlights use up to 80% less energy and will last you much longer compared to conventional halogen spots. LED spotlights are available in different options, from dimmable spotlights to ones with an excellent colour rendering. Any questions? Maybe our FAQ below helps you out!

How do I install my LED spotlights?
To install an LED recessed spotlight, you need a 230V electrical wire with a clamp. Or several clamps in case of multiple fixtures. This is how you connect the wires from the power network and the recessed spotlight. If an external transformer is required, it is placed between the spotlight's wiring and the power network.
How do you install spotlights in the ceiling?
To do this, you need a hole with the correct cut size, for example in the desired 'ceiling tile' of your grid ceiling. Standard ceilings need a reduction with a recessed depth of 100 to 150 mm. The wiring is 'hidden' in this space. The recessed spot locks itself in place with its two clamps.
What kind of bulb do you use in recessed spotlights LED?
Many recessed spotlights have integrated LEDs. If the recessed spot is a housing for a certain type of bulb, it will always indicate which light source you need. At Budgetlight, this mostly concerns GU10 LED spotlight bulbs, but also some fixtures with a GU5.3 or a G53 socket.
What distance between individual recessed spots?
If you use recessed spots as mood lighting, a distance of 800 to 1500 mm between them is a good starting point. If you use LED spotlights as general lighting, the light output is important. A workplace, for instance, needs 500 lumens per square metre, whereas above a dining table or in the living room it is 300lm.
Are there any LED spotlights for outdoor use?
Yes, these feature an IP44, IP65 or IP67 housing. Small tip! If your LED recessed spot is in direct contact with water, we recommend IP65 or IP67 protection. After all, IP44 only protects against splashing water, making these fixtures ideal for under a canopy.
What else is important to know?
LED recessed spotlights offer several additional benefits, such as dimmable spotlights that create the perfect atmosphere. Not to mention tiltable spotlights, which can perfectly spotlight an object. Recessed spotlights with a 90-99Ra colour rendering let colours in a room blossom completely.
